Rock Warrior Saturday Climbing Sessions
Rock Warrior Saturday Sessions are half-day (4-hour) rock climbing programs for youth ages 7–18, open to climbers of any experience level. Sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. and take place at a variety of climbing locations throughout Acadia National Park.
These sessions are designed to introduce new climbers to the foundations of outdoor rock climbing while also providing meaningful progression for returning or more experienced participants. Instruction is fully adaptable to each climber’s ability, confidence, and goals. Beginners will focus on learning essential skills such as harness use, knot tying, belaying, rappelling, and basic movement techniques, while more experienced climbers may work on refining movement, building efficiency, improving communication, and taking on greater responsibility within the climbing system.
As with our RockPro programs, emphasis is placed on safe habits, clear communication, teamwork, and personal growth. Climbers are encouraged to challenge themselves at their own pace in a supportive environment that builds confidence, trust, and a strong connection to the outdoors. Whether it’s a first time on the rope or a chance to keep skills sharp between camps, Rock Warrior sessions provide a fun, focused, and flexible way to grow as a climber.
