Sessions & Tuition
We believe outdoor adventure should be accessible. We ask families who can afford full tuition to do so, which allows us to offer financial assistance and scholarships to others.

Tuition Assistance & Scholarships
We believe that meaningful outdoor experiences should be accessible to all families. Acadia Mountain Guides is committed to reducing financial barriers so that motivated campers can participate in our programs, regardless of circumstance.
Our tuition assistance and scholarship options are designed to support families while maintaining the high standards, safety, and instructional quality that define our camps
-
Any family who feels that full tuition presents a financial barrier is welcome to apply. Circumstances are different for everyone, and we encourage open communication.
We ask families who are able to pay full tuition to do so, which allows us to extend support to others who may need assistance. Our goal is simple: no child left inside.
-
We offer several pathways for financial assistance:
Option 1 – Camper & Parent Letters
The camper writes a letter in their own words explaining why they want to attend camp. A parent or guardian submits a companion letter outlining what they are able to contribute toward tuition. We actively seek sponsors to help support this option.Option 2 – REENO Foundation Scholarship
Campers may apply through the REENO Foundation, a scholarship program honoring former AMG camp leader Nick Ruschmeyer. Acadia Mountain Guides is one of the foundation’s designated beneficiaries.Option 3 – Outside Organizations & Community Support
Many families successfully secure camp funding through local organizations such as churches, civic groups, veterans’ organizations, sororities, fraternities, or employer programs. Often, all it takes is asking.Option 4 – Local Scholarship Programs
Some regional programs provide direct camp funding. For example, the Lee Summer Camp Scholarship Program offers up to $300 for eligible families (availability and deadlines vary). -
Awards are based on individual circumstances, available funding, and demonstrated interest in the program. Our goal is to distribute assistance thoughtfully and fairly while supporting as many campers as possible.
All requests are reviewed with care, respect, and confidentiality.
-
Tuition assistance and scholarship requests should be submitted as early as possible, as funds are limited.
Final camp payments are due by June 1st, so we recommend completing assistance requests well before that date to allow time for review and planning.
-
We strive to respond as quickly as possible after receiving complete application materials. Notification timing may vary depending on funding availability and application volume, but families will be contacted directly once a decision is made.
