New Hampshire Teen Rock Climbing Camp
Skill Level - intermediate
Ages 13 - 17
July 29 - 4
WHAT'S ROCKPRO III ABOUT?
This camp samples the best of New Hampshire climbing. The camps begins and ends at Pawtuckaway State Park - home to sme of the best bouldering around. Pawtuckaway State Park is conveniently located just of Route 101 between Exeter and Manchester. From here we travel north and stretch or legs on Rim Rock near Manchester before hitting Rumney - the hub of sport climbing in New England.
In the middle of the week we start getting ready for bigger multi-pitch routes on Whitehorse and Cathedral Ledges. If some campers are ready, we will even consider an ascent of Cannon Cliff - New England's largest vertical face and once home to the Old Man of the Mountain.
The camp is appropriate for students who have enough climbing experience (either in a gym or outdoors) to be very comfortable with fundamental skills such as belaying and top-roping. During this camp the emphasis will be on getting on the rock and doing lots of climbing.
