Kennebec Paddle and Climb Adventure Camp
July 28 - August 3

A fun filled week of adventure in the Kennebec River region of Maine. This remote and wild region of Maine is home to rugged mountains, great white water rivers, and the rich Native American history and legends of the Penobscot Nation.

This trip is a great trip for teens looking to learn to paddle and climb.

After learning some basic canoe skills campers will strap their gear in their boats and point their canoes down the West Outlet of the Kennebec River into Indian Pond. From our campsite on Indian Pond we will hike over to Moose Mountain to climb and rappel on the open rock domes of what we call “Little Yosemite.”  Day four finds us back in the boats for a trip down Indian Pond. If the wind cooperates this can be a fast sail! If time allows we travel to Moxie Stream to swim in clear mountain pools where you can relax your muscles in shallow Jacuzzi-like river potholes. The next morning will find us rock climbing on the wild cliffs above Lake Moxie.

If you are not tired yet, the final leg of our journey brings us  back for more rock climbing, rappelling, and a wild tyrolean traverse (rope bridge) on the sea cliffs of Acadia National Park.
